About Us
Bessemer Beyond is a program of the Beyond Foundations dedicated to promoting healthy lives, thriving communities, and promising futures in the City of Bessemer through a network partnership of community leaders, corporations, businesses, government agencies, nonprofits and other foundations.
The mission of the program is to strengthen neighborhood nodes into mixed-use areas, creating enough wealth for people to own their homes and companies while also expanding networks for entrepreneurs and enhancing local business demand.

The North Star Revitalization Project is the guiding light and compass for the City of Bessemer’s community and economic development. It is designed to not only revitalize proposed areas it encompasses, but also offer economic growth to surrounding areas with the “lead by example” approach.
